GATS

General Informations

The Group Addressed Transmission Service (GATS) is a new set of mechanisms recently standardized by the IEEE 802.11aa Task Group. We have implemented the main mechanisms including Directed Multicast Service (DMS), GCR Unsolicited Retries (UR), and GCR Block Acknowledgment (BA), on top of Broadcom 4318 adapters. From this page you can download a technical report dealing with how GATS work on the Linux kernel. If instead you want to download the patchset to apply to the kernel and the firmware binary please drop an email to the GATS team and we will send it to you.

Acknowledgments: The research leading to these results was partially funded by the EU's 7th Framework Programme under grant agreements n.318115 (CROWD) and n.258301 (CREW).
